D'Rapport Residences Is Now Cappella Embassy: What Changed, and What Didn't

If you knew the five towers on Jalan Nipah as D'Rapport Residences, you may have seen them appear under a new name. Here is what the change means if you're thinking of buying there.

Cappella Embassy, formerly D'Rapport Residences, five towers off Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur

Is Cappella Embassy the Same as D'Rapport Residences?

Yes. D'Rapport Residences, the five 38-storey towers on Jalan Nipah off Jalan Ampang, completed in 2022, is now called Cappella Embassy. TSLAW Land has taken over the project from the original developer, ACMAR Group, given it the new name and is renewing the buildings. The land, the towers and the 1,099 homes are the same.

You'll also see the old name written as D Rapport or DRapport on listing sites. They all mean the same development.

One thing worth knowing: the developer describes Cappella Embassy as a provisional name, so it could still change. If you're looking the project up, search for both names.

Who Is TSLAW Land, the New Developer?

TSLAW Land is the boutique property arm of TSLAW Group, whose other businesses include steel and mining. The developer says it has been building communities in Malaysia for over 40 years. Its headquarters is TSLAW Tower at TRX, Kuala Lumpur's financial district, completed in 2020 and built above two MRT lines.

Its recent awards, as listed by the developer:

YearAwardFor
2025PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia: Best Boutique DeveloperTSLAW Land
2025FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards, Office category: World GoldTSLAW Tower
2024FIABCI Malaysia Property Award, Office category: GoldTSLAW Tower
2025The Edge Malaysia Best Managed & Sustainable Property Awards: Bronze (non-strata office, under 10 years)TSLAW Tower
2023StarProperty Awards, Skyline Award for Best High Rise (Honours)Skyline Kuchai
2023 and 2025StarProperty Awards, Proximity TOD Award (Excellence) and Close to Home Award (Excellence)Skyline KL

Two of these speak most directly to workmanship and upkeep. The StarProperty Best High Rise award judges construction, materials, finishing and unit design, and The Edge award judges how well a building is managed. TSLAW Tower is also certified under the Green Building Index (GBI).

TSLAW Land's other completed projects include Skyline KL in Pudu (January 2026), Residence Hills in Seremban and Bandar Prima Senawang. At Cappella Embassy it took over a finished development, so the fairest way to judge its standard here is to walk through the show units in Block E, Level 33A, and look at the renewed areas as each phase is completed.

Cappella Embassy isn't the same as Skyline Embassy, a separate TSLAW Land serviced-apartment project near Ampang Park LRT station.

What Is TSLAW Land Upgrading?

The works are being carried out in phases and cover:

  • A complete repaint of the podium and all five towers.
  • A new entrance statement and guardhouse.
  • The drop-off, the lift lobbies and the corridors on every residential floor.
  • The Level 3 pool deck, poolside pavilion and play areas.
  • The indoor facilities and the building services.
  • The Sky Bar and Sky Deck on Block E, Level 38A, which are being reinstated.
  • The 43 shop lots in the podium and their lift, which are being repaired and reinstated.

Is D'Rapport Residences a Good Place to Live?

It depends on how you live. Here is what tends to suit people, and what to weigh before you decide.

What suits people:

  • It's finished. You can walk through a real unit and see the view from your floor, with no construction to wait for.
  • Room for a family. Four of the seven layouts have three bedrooms plus a utility room and four bathrooms.
  • Schools and hospitals nearby. Gleneagles Hospital is about 350m away and the International School of Kuala Lumpur about 1.6km.
  • A quiet, established address among the embassies off Jalan Ampang, with over 50 facilities on site.

What to weigh:

  • You'll mostly drive. There's no train station within walking distance.
  • The renewal is still going on. The works are phased, so some areas may still be under works when you visit or move in.
  • It's leasehold. The title is a 99-year leasehold, so ask how many years remain on it before you buy.

If you'd rather buy a home still under construction, near an MRT station or on freehold land, our comparison of KL new launches sets ten projects side by side.

Seeing Older D'Rapport Listings? Check These Five Things

Listings and articles from before the change are still online, and some details in them may no longer match:

  1. Sizes. Older D'Rapport material quotes some layout sizes differently. Go by the current Cappella Embassy figures above, and check the size of the exact unit you're offered.
  2. Completion year. Some listing sites give an earlier year. The developer's documents give 2022.
  3. What comes with the unit. The fittings listed above are for units sold by TSLAW Land. Confirm the list for the unit you're looking at.
  4. Maintenance fees. The original developer's fact sheet gives RM0.275 per sq ft, including the sinking fund. Ask for the current rate before you decide.
  5. Photos. Older photos show the building before the repaint and renewal works.

Can Foreigners Buy at Cappella Embassy?

Yes, foreigners can buy from RM1 million per unit. The address is in Selangor, but the project already has special approval, so it works the same as any KL property. Our guide to the foreign-buyer rules explains the rest of the process, and this guide shows how much cash to plan for.

Where Is D'Rapport Residences, and What's Nearby?

By the developer's map, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur is about 350m away, Great Eastern Mall about 650m, the International School of Kuala Lumpur about 1.6km, Sayfol International School about 1.8km, the Petronas Twin Towers about 3.9km and Prince Court Medical Centre about 4.2km. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is on the same road, Jalan Nipah, and the embassies of the United States, China, Thailand and Indonesia are all in the area. The Embassy of Japan and the Singapore High Commission are a short drive away on Jalan Tun Razak. You can see it beside the other projects we follow on our property map.

The nearest train stations are Jelatek, Dato Keramat, Setiawangsa and Damai on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, none within walking distance. The AKLEH, DUKE, SPE and MRR2 highways are close by for driving into the city.
